Pipe scrap is checked by wall thickness, length, coating, residue and whether it behaves more like heavy scrap or light tube scrap.
Long or oversized pipe may need cutting for transport or melting preparation, so the largest piece length should be shown before pricing.
Wall thickness, coating, cleanliness, quantity, cutting work, loading access and current market conditions affect the estimate.
Remove plastic, rubber, insulation, non-steel fittings and liquid residue where possible, and keep pipe scrap separate from mixed light waste.
